DANIYAR YELEUSSINOV – AIBA 2013 BEST BOXER MYRZAGALI AITZHANOV – AIBA 2013 BEST COACH

 The World Championships taking place in the home ring, in front of the home fans, at a time when the country celebrates the 80th anniversary of Kazakhstan boxing… This is much more than just a responsibility. And this is, for sure, much more than just a global competition.

  Having won four gold medals, the Kazakhstan National Team proved not only that Kazakhstan is the best boxing nation in the world but also that the purposeful development of boxing in the country bears fruit. The results shown by Kazakhstan’s boxers are getting increasingly better with every coming year.

This year has actually become highly successful for the Kazakhstan National Team boasting the triumphant record-setting Asia Championships and fourfold-gold World Championships. Eight of the ten boxers ascended the victory stand, six fought in the finals, and all of them demonstrated admirable and spectacular boxing.

“This is the result of our joint work – work of the coaching staff, work of the Kazakhstan Boxing Federation led by Timur Kulibayev, and certainly work of our boxers whom we had trained for these global championships. Besides, this is also work of our fans who supported us all the time, support of our people”, said Chief Coach of the Kazakhstan National Team Myrzagali Aitzhanov, who was absolutely deservedly awarded the title of the AIBA Best Coach of the year.

At the Awards Ceremony, according to the AIBA year results after the 2013 World Championships finals, the title of the 2013 Best Boxer was given to leader of the Kazakhstan National Team Daniyar Yeleussinov, who had demonstrated highly technical boxing throughout the World Championships making the tribunes rise in applause, making foreign experts admire.

“This is all due to our coaches – my personal coach and the Chief Coach of the team”, the team leader said modestly at the Awards Ceremony.

After the World Championships, all boxers will be given a short rest. In the second half of November, the Kazakhstan Championships will start in Atyrau, which will give an opportunity to see the nearest reserve of the country’s core “gold” team.
