VII International boxing tournament on prizes of honored coach of KazSSR and PSU professor Rafael Vakhitov was held in Pablodar.
The Member of RK Mazhilis Yersultan Bekturganov awarded legendary coach by letter of appreciation from Culture and Sports Ministry.
- The Ministry appreciates you for raising our champions – Y. Bekturganov said. – I and my colleagues cannot find anyone who is training children in 90 years old. You are the only one such coach. So I propose to have a name of Rafael Vakhitov in Guinness book records. Members of Mazhilis are supporting you.
The Tournament’s Supervisor Aslan Igubayev presented the boxing veteran a letter of appreciation on behalf of the president of Kazakhstan Boxing Federation Timur Kulibayev.
The tournament was held in accordance with AIBA rules. More 120 boxers from Kazakhstan, Russia, Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia, Serbia, Uzbekistan and Ukraine were taking part in the competitions in 10 weight categories. The coach career of Vakhitov has started from the Great Patriotic War. He has raised a lot of champions for this time.
