On February 19 in the World Boxing Academy it was organized a ceremony where the results of 2017 in the judicial department of the Kazakhstan Boxing Federation were summed up.
Now there are 9 R&Js with the highest "3 stars" category in Kazakhstan, 10 R&Js - "2 stars", 15 R&Js - "1 star". Besides judges of the international level there are R&Js of the national and other categories who would like to be in the high levels. For them last year there have taken place two seminars and three certification courses. In the 2018 such actions will be more.
- We are faced by a task to grow up a group of new, young R&Js at the level of those R&Js working at the international tournaments, - the vice-president of supervising judicial department of the Kazakhstan Boxing Federation Ospanov Baurzhan has told. - Within a year seminars, certifications with participation of our skilled judges and foreign experts of the international level were held.
We often complain that we have problems with judging but we can see the same problems at the seminars and certification courses. The main problem is a low qualification of our many R&Js. If their level corresponds with our fighters then the best athletes will get into the national team of Kazakhstan. Everything has to begin there from district, regional tournaments and Kazakhstan championships. We should determine the best boxers there.
R&Js shouldn't show any regions, sympathies, antipathies. The best of the best boxers have to get into the national team of Kazakhstan. Because at the international tournaments they represent not an area or region, they represent Kazakhstan. Therefore within a year after each tournament we made points and following the results we determined the best judges. We have solemnly awarded them. We have good examples.
