Annual Conference of the Kazakhstan Boxing Federation took place

Today Astana held the Annual Conference of the Kazakhstan Boxing Federation, which involved as participants the managers of the organization, presidents of the regional federations, as well as coachers of the teams.
The Conference was an appropriate event to resume the results of 2014, which was a very successful year for Kazakhstan boxing.
Our men’s team has won the 1st team place with 6 gold, 1 silver and 1 bronze medals participating in the Asian Games in Incheon. The results of the women’s team are 1 silver and 1 bronze awards. The World Championship among women highlighted the performance of Nazym Kyzaibai winning the first in the country boxing history gold medal. And the silver medal of the Championship was awarded to Lyazzat Kungeibaeva.
The Youth team won the first team place in the World Championship held in Bulgaria in April awarded 2 gold, 2 silver and 1 bronze medals. Daniyar Eleusinov was awarded the title of ‘’ Boxer of the Year”, and Myrzagali Aitzhanov for the second time in a row was called “Coach of the Year”.
AIBA Pro Boxing project was launched to combine the best of the amateur and professional boxing. On January 30, 2015 in Astana the final fight of the first season took place to grant Berik Abdrakhmanov the Rio-2016 Olympic quota place.
In total in 2014 the National Boxing Team of the RoK arranged and participated in:
– among adults: in 8 fight trainings and 25 tournaments;
– among women: in 9 fight trainings and 9 tournaments;
– among youth and juniors: in 7 tournaments.
In Turkestan and Semey typical cross-functional sports and fitness complexes of the combat and strength sports (boxing, fighting, judo, taekwondo, and weightlifting) were put into service. Currently such a sports and fitness facility is under construction in Kyzylorda.

The most important ones are the Asian Championship (June 30-July 11, 2015 in Thailand) and the Qualifying World Championship (October 15-18, 2015 in Qatar). In 2015 the National boxing team will have 13 training and health meets and take participation in 29 tournaments.
Boxers of the team will participate in new seasons of WSB series and APB project, the second series start of which is planned at the end of March – beginning of April. The women’s team plans to compete in 11 international and republican championships of 2015.
One of the key trends of 2015 will be the regional development of boxing and energizing of the regional federations’ activity. They are committed to develop the cooperation with the regional sports departments and attract sponsors more actively.
