Serik Konakbayev – Vice-president of AIBA!

The elections of managing team of International Boxing Association had been held today at the Congress of AIBA in Korean city Cheju.
Serik Konakbayev, AIBA Executive Committee member and the Vice-President of the Kazakhstan’s Boxing Federation for Jury Corps, was proposed as candidate for post of the Vice-president of AIBA from the Asian continent.
Legend of the national sport has won another victory in his career: World Boxing community supported the nomination of our compatriot, having entrusted him posts of the Vice-president of AIBA and the President of Asian Boxing Confederation!
Serik Konakbayev in his speech thanked the delegates of the Congress for reposed trust and expressed confidence that it will be possible to bring the World Boxing to new level through the cooperative efforts.
- Certainly it’s a great honor. But at the same time it is a big responsibility. Everybody knows Kazakhstan as the boxing nation, as the country which dynamically develops also in economy, both keeping and increasing unity and a consent. Country will hold the exhibition EXPO 2017. There is of course a great merit of our Head of State, Nursultan Nazyrbayev in it. Kazakhstan is developing in all aspects, and the world community knows about that now. That is why all our achievements provoke us for further growth, - Mr. Serik Konakbayev told for site of Kazakhstan’s Boxing Federation.
Let us remind, the representatives of all 198 National Federations are taking part in the Congress (13-14 of November).
