Zhusupov – champion, Kazakov – silver medalist

Kazakhstan’s boxer have won one gold and one silver medal at the Second Summer Youth Olympic Games in Nanjing (China).
Abylaykhan Zhusupov (60 kg) has become the first in Kazakhstan’s boxing history to win gold at the Youth Olympic Games. The 2014 youth world champion fought Cuban Alan Limonta in the final and won 2:1. The silver medalist of the youth world championship Vadim Kazakov (81 kg) lost 0:3 to Bulgarian Blagoy Naydenov.
To recap, at the Olympic Games our country was represented by four boxers – three boys and one girl. Shalkar Aykynbay (49 kg) took fourth place and Alua Balkybekova (51 kg) took fifth.
