The tournament will be held from 13 to 17 of May.
The press conference of this tournament was held in «Daulet» sport complex with members of the Kazakhstan national boxing team.
Vadim Prisyazhnyuk, Kazakhstan National Team’s senior coach:
- National Championships is a great opportunity to show your willingness so all participants are going to compete in the best way at this tournament. The main line-up of the National Women’s Team after these competitions will be almost the same about 70%. There will be a strong competition in 48, 51, 54, 57 and 60 weight categories. It is about two months between the World Championships and Asian Games and it will be better to have two teams. Therefore those boxers participating in Asian Games will not have optimal conditions. Asian Games in Indonesia are more important for us than World Championships.
Dariga Shakimova (75 kg), a member of the Kazakhstan National Team:
- Opponents are very strong in my division so I trained hard. I don’t feel self-confidence despite some titles and medals in the past. I should go forward and think about future. There are some new girls in my category and someone who came from another one. It will be very exciting to test myself. Women’s boxing is getting popular and many girls are fond of boxing now. It makes me happy.
Nazym Kyzaibay (51 kg), a member of the Kazakhstan National Team:
- Kazakhstan Championships will be very interesting. All athletes are high level boxers. I prefer Asian Games than World Championships.
Lyazzat Kungeibayeva (+81):
- Now I am in good conditions. I would like to prove that I am the best in this category but I have very serious opponents.
During the press conference medals of this tournament were also represented.
