Berik Abdrakhmanov (60 kg) in the interview to official website of Kazakhstan Boxing Federation has told about importance of President’s Cup which will be held in June in Astana.
- Berik, what do you expect from this tournament?
- I can’t wait. I would like to show my best boxing because my participation in Asian Games will be depend on my performance. This tournament will be a good chance to gain an experience as other ones. We don’t have main and secondary tournaments. These competitions will be in Astana, in Daulet sport complex where I have got a lot of victories. For example, there I have won the APB title. So I have good memories with this venue. And I want to feel them again. I will do my best.
- Your objective is only «gold»? Who is your main opponent?
- I don’t have any choice and I don’t have special opponents. I go into the ring as this is my last bout and I always want to win.
- 15 countries will compete in this tournament. Can we say about image growing of these competitions?
- For sure. Every year the number of participants is growing and it is really great. LOC is very happy that this tournament is very popular and boxers may get great experience with the best boxers from different countries. All teams are trying to bring the best boxers.
