Aknieyt Baltabayev (52 kg) in an interview to the official web site of the Kazakhstan Boxing Federation has told about a tournament which has taken place in Pavlodar, and has also shared thoughts of the competition in his weight category.

    - Akiniyet, we congratulate on the silver medal at the tournament in Pavlodar! Why did you not win the gold medal in the final against Kanat Sangil from Astana?

    - I think my movements were set and I felt tired after the semifinal bout against Rashit Salauatov from Atyrau region because I worked really hard. He was a tough opponent. In the final I couldn’t show the best skills and I underestimated him. This is a reason why I lost the bout. But the organizational level of the tournament was the high.

    - In February you had the first match for Astana Arlans in WSB in your city – Karaganda. There you have lost the bout against boxer from India Bisht Singh. What kind of conclusions did you have after the bout?

    - I focus on my physical preparation and especially muscle mass. But I follow my previous tactics and technique. I and my coach decided to change nothing from our technical skills. It is all the same.

    - People consider you as one of those who can strike very soon.

    - It is up to you. I am very shy. There is a strong competition in our weight category. We don’t have time to relax so we should move forward and work hard otherwise another more «hungry for victories»

    - Your style is a working at speed and you don’t let opponent hit you. Are you used to do this?

    - I follow this tactics since the childhood. I like domination in the ring and I don’t let anyone play his game. I am used to get this and I don’t want to change it. However everything will be depending on my coaches. They know how to get us in the best shape. We should keep working hard and improve our preparation level.
