Ivan Dychko became a silver medalist of the World Boxing Championships. In the final bout against Azerbaijan boxer Magomedrasul Medzhidov, Ivan lacked only two minutes to earn gold for the Kazakhstan National Team.
Having dominated during the first two rounds, the Kazakhstan fighter took a most powerful punch from the opponent in the third round, which triggered a knockdown count by the referee, and after the fight continued Medzhidov, making advantage of the Kazakhstan boxer’s condition, added one more punch following which the bout was stopped.
Ivan Dychko became a silver medalist of the global competition. And the Kazakhstan National Team, having won four gold, two silver and two bronze medals, beat Ukraine’s record at the previous World Championships and triumphantly took the first team place at the global competition.
