The tournament of three national boxing teams (Kazakhstan, Russia and Uzbekistan) was held in Kazakhstan.
The results were summed up by the head coach of the Kazakhstan National Team Myrzagali Aitzhanov.
- Since the beginning of the year we have already planned who will participate and where. It is not an official competition but just sparrings focused on obtaining practical skills by athletes. After a break such fights were necessary for boxers. Some of our boxers participated in the international competition in Hungary in February. Now there is a tournament in Bulgaria and in March there will be competitions in Finland and Poland. In April we have planned a joint training camp with Ukraine team in Kharkiv after which there will take place the official match of four countries. Some boxers, involved in the match play with the Russian and Uzbek teams, will participate in the traditional Strandzha tournament in Bulgaria with representatives of 32 countries. They had sparrings on February 16 and on February 18 they have already gone to the competitions where yesterday some of them have carried out the first duels. Olzhas Bainiyazov (52 kg) has got beaten and in category up to 91 kg Anton Pinchuk has won a victory. Russia, Ukraine, the USA, Canada and also many European countries participate in the Strandzha tournament. From Asia, besides us, boxers from China and Mongolia are presented. Our national team annually participates in such large international tournament of the AIBA calendar of AIBA - Aitzhanov told.
