The Kazakhstan women's boxing coach Yeldos Saidalin has finished the course in 3 modules of the International Coaching Enrichment Certificate Program (ICECP) which is in common developed by USA NOC, the University of Delaware and the Olympic Solidarity program of the International Olympic Committee. The program was held from September 16 to October 20, 2017 in the USA – Delaware, Colorado and Michigan.
Remember that in July of the same year the Olympic solidarity of the IOC announced by official letter that after careful consideration of his request and taking into account the USA NOC and AIBA’s recent endorsement it was allocated a scholarship to Mr. Yeldos Saidalin to enable him to attend the International Coaching Enrichment Certificate Programme (ICECP) in one of the most prestigious universities of the USA. The main criteria for candidates were the good English language skills and recognition of sport by both national and international federations.
- As the young coach I have gained wide experience and knowledge which will be useful to me in further activity and for sharing with colleagues and athletes. Seminars and lectures were conducted by famous professors in the sport sphere. I was lucky to have practice with honored boxing coaches - Saidalin says.
According to the Kazakhstan coach the LOC provided the best conditions for studying and attention to the cultural program for participants. "It was pleasant that professors, coaches and organizers expressed their respect for boxing school in Kazakhstan when they learned my country and sport".
- I would like to thank the National Olympic Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kazakhstan Boxing Federation, the LOC of this international program for this opportunity to take part in this program, to get acquainted with foreign colleagues, to exchange experience and to gain such knowledge, - the coach tells.
Now Yeldos Saidalin with the remote curator is writing the thesis on the subject "Women's Boxing Development in Kazakhstan". Training in the fourth module and defending of the thesis will take place in Lausanne (Switzerland) in April of the next year.
NOTE: Yeldos Saidalin is the Master of Sports, the bronze prize-winner of the Youth World Championships 2004, the silver prize-winner of the Asian Championships 2007. Yeldos Saidalin is the senior coach of the national women' boxing team of Karaganda region. He is more than five years in coach's activity and he has AIBA 1 star coach category.
"Olympic solidarity" is the program of the International Olympic Committee for coordination of activity of National Olympic Committees directed to development of the Olympic Movement. The directions of the program are different, including the International Coaching Enrichment Certificate Programme for professional development of coaches working with future participants of the Olympic Games.
