The 68th International Boxing Tournament "Strandja" was completed in Sofia, a capital of Bulgaria. The Kazakhstan boxers took part in it on the high level.
Kamshybek Konkabayev (+91 kg) and Tursynbai Kulakhmet (75 kg) successfully performed at the Bulgarian tournament. Konkabayev won a bronze medal having lost to boxer from Bulgaria in the even bout. Kulakhmet was the best in his weight category at this tournament. He beat the Bulgarian boxer Arman Khakobyan in the final bout.

This year the Kazakhstan boxers are expected to compete at two big events: Asia Championships in Uzbekistan and World Championships in Germany. It is expected that in the nearest future the coaching staff of the National Team will select candidates for these competitions.
